Chimney Sweeping Service

Fireplaces, Woodstoves, Pellet Stoves and Bio Fuel Stoves
It is necessary to remove flammable creosote that builds up after each fire from your fireplace or Solid fuel stove every year. If you use your heating appliance daily as a primary heating source, then it should be cleaned twice a year. Creosote is unburnt wood particles that can re-ignite after it gets to 1/8" thick and heat transfers to this area.

Oil Fuel Flues
Furnaces & water heaters are used year round to provide heat for the house or to heat hot water. Oil soot or tar droplets can collect 3-6 inches a year below the furnace connector drop off. This could eventually plug the opening on the connector pipe and cause Carbon Monoxide fumes to return back into the basement and vent into the house. It could also cause a puff back of oil soot through the furnace and soot the entire house. The flue walls of the chimney can also become reduced in size from this oil soot build up which could produce ventilation problems or worse yet, a chimney fire fueled by oil. This flue should be cleaned out and inspected every 2 years to remove any soot. Older Appliances should be inspected and cleaned if needed every year.

Gelco Stainless Steel & Copper Chimney Caps with a Lifetime Warranty
An uncapped chimney can allow animals to nest and allow leaves and branches to fall into the chimney. This will cause the chimney to draft incorrectly and possibly cause a chimney fire or Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

Chimney caps arrest sparks, prevent animal invasion, deflect downdrafts & prevent water damage to your internal chimney flues. The main reason for a chimney cap is to prevent water damage to the clay liner that exhausts carbon monoxide through the chimney system. Water mixes with the acids and will eventually cause the tile liner section to spall, crack, or separate. Once this happens, deadly Carbon Monoxide exhaust gases can now vent through the walls of the rooms in your home. A Chimney Cap will without doubt save you thousands of dollars in chimney flue relining and masonry repairs. It is preventive maintenance!

Homesaver Stainless Steel Chimney Liners
All Gas, Oil, Propane, Solid Fuel Stoves & Fireplace flues should be lined according to N.F.P.A. 211 Codes. Infact In the 2006 N.F.P.A. 211 Code book, it states that "All masonry chimneys shall be lined." This will provide an unlined or damaged chimney a new flue to vent burnt exhaust fuels. Unlined or damaged chimney flues can cause dangerous Carbon Monoxide or Flammable Creosote to vent through the walls of your home, including the walls of bedrooms. Installing a stainless steel chimney liner into your chimney will direct the ventilation of such gases and flammable creosote through the new liner and outside the home at the top of the chimney.

Lyemance Top Sealing Damper
Warped, broken, or leaky dampers is an overlooked source of heat loss that cost homeowners hundreds even thousands of dollars in heating costs every  year. A Lyemance Top-Sealing Damper eliminates 90% of the winter heat and summer air conditioningcooling losses that leaks past your current damper. It also eliminates downdrafts and keeps moisture and animals out of your home. Moisture in your chimney causes unwelcome odors in humid or moisture indeuced conditions and leads to deterioration of bricks and mortar. The Lyemance Top Sealing Damper has a rubber enhanced silicone gasket that seals super tight for lifetime durability. Installing an efficient Lymance Top Sealing Damper will pay for itself many times over in the first year alone in fuel cost savings.

Chimney Saver Water Proofing
All masonry chimneys are porous. They absorb water every time it rains or snows or when the furnace or water heater creates moisture inside the chimney flues. This moisture will lead to damaged liner flue tiles or bricks & mortar joints cracking or eroding. Applying Chimney Saver will protect the life of your chimney by cutting down the water absorption by as much as 85%. This can save you thousands of dollars in future masonry repairs and stainless steel chimney relining.

Repair Cracked or Broken Masonry
Masonry crowns at the top of the chimney prevent water from leaking through the top tier of bricks and between the bricks and tile liner sections which will damage your terra cota fireclay chimney flues and possibly cause damage to the ceilings or walls in your home. Broken bricks and cracked mortar joints are also a major cause of water damage to the ceilings and walls in your home.

Ever Thought About Your Dryer Vent? Two Great Reasons Why You Should...Reason 1:Ever Thought About Your Dryer Vent? Two Great Reasons Why You Should...Reason 1
There Are 16,700 Dryer Vent Fires a Year*And the number continues to rise. Why? Most people don't know their dryer vents need to be cleaned. They clean out their lint filter now and then and think that's it. But the dryer vent duct is where lint can really build up and get clogged. Any lint is highly flammable, accounting for more dryer vent fires. In addition to lint buildup, improper installation of your dryer vent system can also pose a serious danger to you. A dryer vent cleaning professional will detect potential hazards such as the presence of flammable vinyl duct or duct run that is improperly routed. So ensure your family's safety with a professional inspection.Reason 2: Lint Buildup Takes More Energy (And Money) To Dry Your ClothesIf your dryer isn't drying your clothes like it used to, you may not need a new dryer! A dryer vent clogged with lint reduces airflow so your dryer doesn't dry as efficiently as it used to. An inefficient dryer also uses more energy, thereby costing you more money. The Solution:Have your dryer vent system cleaned and inspected yearly by a dryer vent cleaning professional. A standard cleaning will involve unhooking the dryer, cleaning the vent duct with special tools, and checking connections. A professional can also service all venting situations, including today's extremely long vent ducts. These ducts are especially susceptible to lint buildup. So don't take a chance - put your family's safety in the hands of a professional. It will protect them against potential fire and save you money as well - two great reasons why you should think about your dryer vent.Dryer and Dryer Vent Accessories For Your Home
